Discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance. For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers. Prescribe and teach these things. 1 Tim. 4:7-11

All ministries at Southwest Bible Church are to contribute to the ultimate ministry of the God’s Church – Proclaiming Jesus Christ and building up the Body of Christ with mature disciples of His. The Athletic ministries of Southwest Bible support this ultimate goal. They provide venues for Christians to fellowship and grow in Christ-like character while getting some good exercise in! At these sporting events participants meet new people with common interests. This starts and builds Christ-honoring relationships that can carry over into the rest of the life of the family of believers here at Southwest. Personal guests are welcome to join them at any of the events.

Men's Basketball League

January-Early April, various game times. Click here to register and pay online. Two leagues: 1) More Competitive, 2) More Recreational. Has set teams, scheduled games and official refs. Cost: $40/player (must pre-pay to get on a team.) Registration deadline: 1 pm, January 31.

Co-Ed Golf Scramble Southwest Scramble co-ed golf tournaments take place at various times throughout the year, and at a variety of area golf courses. Upcoming tournaments will be announced in advance of the event. Contact: Mike Vanier 503.579.1861

Outdoor Club

God's Great Outdoor Club of Southwest Bible Church provides venues for Christians to fellowship and grow in Christ-like character while getting some good exercise and enjoying the natural resources with which God has provided us. Participants meet new people with common interests. This begins and builds Christ-honoring relationships that can carry over into the rest of the life of the families of believers here at Southwest. These family friendly events may include fishing, backpacking, hunting, mountain biking, archery, and camping.


Come out for a morning of fun with an archery shoot! These take place twice a month on Saturdays, on the west side of the church property. For more information, please contact Norm Little at 503.628.1919.

Summer Softball

Summer Kid's Camps
During the summer, incoming kindergarten through 5th grade kids attend a summer camp tailored to them. There's fun, crafts and great Bible teaching for all the kids! For more information, contact Adam Ferguson at 503.524.7000.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30-4 pm at the church for Junior High through Senior High students.
