Southwest Bible Church Ministries

Ministries

Athletics Ministry - The athletics ministry promotes fellowship and encouragement through archery, basketball, volleyball, Junior High sports camp, golf, and softball.

Biblical Counseling - Scripture is sufficient to provide practical solutions and principles in addressing the real issues of life. The counseling staff of SBC are trained and qualified to address counseling issues from a biblical perspective.

Care Ministry - The care ministry provides assistance, compassion, and care to members of the church body.

Career/Young Adults Ministry - Young professionals in the Young Adults career ministry meet regularly for Bible study and fellowship.

Children's Ministry - From nursery care through 5th grade, the children's ministry at SBC is designed to lay a firm foundation of Biblical truth upon which a saving knowledge of Christ can be built. Trained adults provide nursery care, pre-school, junior church, Bible club, summer kids camps, and elementary school classes.

Coffee Corner - The coffee corner ministry provides an excellent opportunity to connect with others through serving coffee and snacks before and after Sunday evening services.

College/Young Adults Ministry - If you are a college or university student, this is the right place for you. Connect with other students through special events, Sunday school, and Bible studies.

Dinner For 6 - Adult Fellowship - The Dinner for 6 dinner series is for individuals and couples who want to meet new people and begin new friendships with others at Southwest Bible Church.

Home Bible Studies - Home Bible Studies are small groups that meet weekly for Christian fellowship, encouragement, prayer, and Bible study. Christianity is modeled in these groups and each person contributes and/or participates while adding diversity to the body.

Men's Ministry - The men's ministry includes Bible studies, men's retreats, prayer meetings, and athletics leagues.

Missions and Evangelism - Southwest Bible Church supports many individuals and organizations who are dedicated to fulfilling Christ's Great Comission through part-time and full-time service on the mission field, both at home and abroad.

Prayer Ministry - The prayer ministry includes various activities such as men's prayer breakfasts, the 24-7 prayer room, the prayer chain, and prayer meetings.

Resource Center - The resource center ministry is comprised of various ministry teams including the tape ministry team, the resource center team, the creative team, and the church library.

Senior Saints - The Senior Saints enjoy trips, luncheons, men's Bible studies, and ladies' Bible studies.

Single Adults - Single adults at Southwest are welcome and encouraged to be integrated into any of our Adult Ministries, which have purposefully not discriminated between ages or life situations. Several groups have formed for those seeking additional opportunities for fellowship and service alongside other single, adult Christians. Student Ministry - The goal of the student ministry team is to help Junior High and High School students know the principles found in God's Word, to grow in their faith and maturity, and to show with their lives that they understand what it means to be a child of God and be able to apply His truths in everything they do.

Sunday school - Children and adult Sunday school classes are available. Each quarter, we offer several different adult classes, including Essential Christianity, which introduces Southwest Bible Church and the essentials of Christianity to those who are new to the church.

Women's Ministry - Various ministries to women include the Ladies' Bible Study, Spring and Christmas desserts, the women's retreat, and prayer.

Worship Ministry - The church worship ministry is always open to those who desire to worship for the glory of the Lord through choir, singing, and the worship team.
