Marshall and Cathryn are directly sent out by SWBIBLE. They started working in the Czech Republic in 1989 to be a witness to the presence of God in an atheist country and to help build up the church. In 2024, they relocated to Tennessee with the hope of continuing to use the Pastors Teaching Project in Africa, but also locally in Tennessee.

Marshall has long been involved in preparing pastors to accurately teach the Word of God through a variety of different teaching opportunities. Marshall’s job description has included teaching seminary courses, functioning as interim pastor at their church in Celakovice, meeting to disciple the elders and traveling to teach in many places through Czech and Eastern Europe.

Cathryn has been involved in a variety of ministries: being a wife and mother, helping run an evangelistic kids club, a women’s Bible study, meeting with other women in discipling and encouraging relationships, ministering on the board of a Christian school in Prague. Their family has been involved in evangelistic camps that use English as a method to share the gospel to the Czech community and discipleship camps directed toward missionary children. Teams from SWBIBLE have joined with the Browns at these camps in the past. Cathryn will continue to prepare teaching materials and help with camp organization for 2025 and 2026, and she will continue to do online discipleship for Czech youth.

From 2013 through February 2021, Marshall served on the Romans Project team as International Deputy Director, then as the International Director. Marshall traveled from Czech to meet with RP Country Directors (mostly in Africa) and taught at pastors’ conferences. He also oversaw the translation of the Romans Project messages to allow for the expansion to pastors in non-English speaking countries. He then transitioned to training leaders in Africa through developing and teaching the four courses of Pastors Training Program.

Now, Marshall is directing the program from their home in Eastern Tennessee.
